Is there any way I can send some pics of dolls I inherited, sure would like some infomation…. found some that resemble my dolls but not exact…one is Helen, patent appd for germany, large, with arms and legs w/ boots painted… thank you for your time
Hi , Just wanted to let you know that I am so happy someone else is confused about the Currier and Ives being in the ABG section of Mary Krombholtz’s book. To me, she so obviously displays the painting characteristics for Hertwigs, there is nothing ambiguous about it.

Yes, Thank you for confirming my observation. I hold Mary Krombholtz’s reseach in high esteem. She has done so much to clarify the china doll makers. This one, though, must have been an oversight.
